I decided to create real and imagined isolation spaces for the friends and loved ones I haven’t been able to see during lockdown here in New Zealand.
This one is for my friend in Canterbury who now has a ‘she-shed’ but I imagine it is full of all her animals and there’s little room left for her!
A friend of mine lives way up the end of a wooded valley in NZ, she is surrounded by birdlife and spends her days creating the most amazing pastel portraits of birds and animals
This is NOT what my studio looks like but it would be very nice to have a cool summer space to create art with a big fat cat asleep on the bench
